The renowned Tijjaniya world movement leader, Sheikh Mahiy Ibrahim Inyass from Senegal has emphasized the need for religious leaders to pray for President Bola Tinubu to successfully ferry the country to the promised land.

Sheikh Mahiy was speaking on Saturday at this year’s Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass Maulud celebration held at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.

The Cleric who advised the people to refrain from castigating their leaders on their administrative mistakes, said what leaders require from followers is prayer.

In his remarks, Bauchi state governor, Senator Bala Muhammad expressed appreciation to the movement for affording his state the opportunity to host this year’s event.

Governor Muhammad used the forum to explain that his criticism of the Tinubu administration was borne out of his desire for the administration to change its “policies that are not in favor of many citizens”.

Also speaking, the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar enjoined Muslims to imbibe the spirit of togetherness, love and forgiveness.

Sultan Abubakar who was represented by the Emir of Bauchi Alhaji Rilwanu Suleman Adamu said Islam encourages unity and called on Muslims to unite under one umbrella.

In a goodwill message, the 16th Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, pledged to sponsor 30 students to further their education at the Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Qur’anic memorization school.

The Emir appreciated the Emir of Bauchi for the reception accorded them.
